Calvin Harris, Noah Kahan and Kylie Minogue will headline Electric Picnic this year, alongside Kodaline, Raye and Gerry Cinnamon.

The acts were revealed in a highly anticipated announcement for the festival in Stradbally, Co Laois, which takes place this year from August 16 to 18.

The headline acts will be joined by big names such as Kasabian, J Hus, Peggy Gou, Teddy Swims, Tom Grennan and Faithless.

The Wolfe Tones will return to Electric Picnic, but this time on the main stage following a performance that drew record crowds last year.

Murder on the Dancefloor hitmaker Sophie Ellis-Bextor will also perform, with The Teskey Brothers, Ethel Cain, Damien Dempsey and David Kushner also joining the line-up for the iconic festival.

The Waterboys, Amble, Jazzy and trio Kneecap will take to the stage, with Kojaque, Artemas and The Scratch also making an appearance.

Other acts who will perform throughout the weekend include Eyedress, Hannah Laing and more.

A small number of tickets have been released due to failed credit card payments, the festival said.

Eager fans have been encouraged to act fast as the three-day event has been sold out for a number of months.

This year will mark the 20th anniversary of Electric Picnic and around 75,000 people are expected to attend.

"Electric Picnic is the slightly earlier jewel in the crown of the festival calendar this year of course and what a crown it is. A crown that 75,000 people get to wear and be part of and what a lineup they have to be part of. The Wolfe Tones returning was a must,” said festival director Melvin Benn.

"The Scratch and The Waterboys are unmissable for me. Noah taking the world by storm and Calvin blowing our minds and then…. Kylie! What more can I say. The Picnic really is my joyous weekend.”
