‘I found my niche when I started doing Eurovision analysis videos — here’s how Ireland could do better’

“At this time of year, pretty much every moment that I’m not in my regular job is spent on Eurovision. I have a Eurovision channel on YouTube so I’m busy making content, answering comments and tweeting about it.

For Eurovision fans like me, the event isn’t just a week in May. Our off-season runs from about June to November and then it starts picking up again in December. When the contest ends, we experience what we call PED — Post-Eurovision Depression — where we get a massive low and feel, for lack of a better word, withdrawal.
